VOCALS: SHANE NORMAN
I am 21 years old and I have loved Metallica all of my life. It has been my dream to be in a Metallica tribute band to show my respect to them over the years. I have been playing music from the young age of 10 and loved it ever since. The first time I heard Metallica was when I was 13 and I saw them on Kerrang with their song Sandman. I couldn't believe what I was hearing with those heavy metal riffs and his gritty heavy voice. It was then that I knew I had to be the James Hetfield of a Metallica tribute band and all this time and all these years have been a blessing.
LEAD GUITAR: JACK HULL
I have been playing the guitar for about 10 years now. I've loved Metallica from a young age and continue to do so now, which is why I'm very happy to be a member of Metal Militia.
DRUMS: JOHN WRIGHT
My love of music and drums started at the age of 6 when I got my first kit, influenced by music of many genres until discovering metal in a big way at 14. My influences vary from all ends of the metal spectrum but Metallica always was one of the bands I idolized and admired the most not only because of their sheer brilliance but for their monumental contribution to metal. It’s an honor to pay tribute to one of the most influential bands of all time.
BASS GUITAR: DANIEL GENNER
My obsession with music began at an early age but it wasn't until the age of 19 when I started a music course at college that I picked up a guitar for the first time. I was immediately hooked and strived to become better so I could play with the other musicians at college. I first heard Metallica on Scuzz when their song "One" came on. The video scared me but as soon as the heavy section came in I was hooked immediately and delved into their back catalogue. I met Shane at college and we formed the basis of what would become Metal Militia.
